The first thing you need to do is apply concealer on all the areas you need to brighten up. Apply it under the eyes, on the forehead, on the cupid’s brow, and down the bridge of the nose. Ensure that the concealer you use is one to two shades lighter than your skin tone. Do cover any blemishes or acne with it too.
The next step is to apply a bronzer or a concealer that is a bit darker shade than your skin tone. Apply it under the cheekbones and around the hairline to create a shadow. This will make your cheekbones look a little plumper and high. Now start blending with a brush or sponge. First, mix the darker contour thoroughly with the brush and then even out the skin by ensuring that there are no lines or streaks from the brush.
In the end, use a setting powder to lock your makeup in place. Try using a translucent powder instead of the invisible one. Invisible powders show up with a white cast that looks bad. Highlight the T-zone of your face – all of the high points of your face, and you are done with the contouring.
